Back To Writing

I have missed writing!!  It's been a long while, and I've thought of so many things to write about but didn't get time to put thoughts to blog.

I have taken off some of the weight.  The scale says I'm at 382, and my size is now a non stretchy 16w top and 18w bottom.  I'm very close to normal sizes and evidently gaining muscle with more activity.

I have stayed with the Contract to help with the weight loss.  The first month was rough.  There were side effects and wow were they strong.  But, those have subsided and things are going well.  I can focus on things instead of feeling scattered.  I don't have the feeling of wanting to eat all the time whether hungry or not.  It has become a tool to help but isn't a cure all.  I still must control what goes in the mouth.

With the weight going down I have been more active despite pain.  The knees still hurt, and some days are still on the cane, but I still do more.  I do cleaning of a building other than my home, and spend a lot of time on my feet in general.  I get a lot more work done than I used to.

We now have a 16 year old in the house.  The oldest child turned 16 last Sunday.  I feel old.  Granted he is my step son, I still feel old.  The next one is 15 and then 13.  They have grown to where we are letting them share a pay as you go phone for emergencies and texting.  It seems like yesterday they were little bitty.

How have you all been doing??  I've missed you all a lot!!

  1. It's good to hear from you Angie! Your last post has inspired me to clean up my quiet area where I spend time with Jesus in the early mornings. I had gotten lax in this area but this morning I was up reading before the lights came on!
If you don't mind me asking, what kind of contract did you sign for your weight loss? I guess I am just at a loss and very frustrated with this weight loss thing. I know I need to lose weight in order to feel better. Ive even been a little depressed over it lately. I have been praying about it more and then I read your blog about your weight loss. Any advice you have I would be thankful for.

    God Bless,

    1. Awww I'm glad to be of help :) It was my quiet area at 4:30am today, and honestly, I didn't want to be up. But still read after hubby got out the door for work.

It's a should read Contrave. Stinking autocorrect. It's a combination of wellbutrin and revia, wellbutrin is an antidepressant, and revia works with addiction type behavior. It is doing the job. It helps me not want to eat all day long, which really helps. It works with diabetes and high blood pressure, with is the selling point for me. It's not a miracle drug, it won't make you lose weight, but it is a tool that helps if you use it correctly.

I've been fighting weight now for 35 years at least...I turn 40 this week and I remember at 5 being on a diet. I may never stop fighting it. It's hard to keep fighting it when your body is against you every step of the way. But you can do it!! I believe you can! (shaking pom poms)

Have a good day!! Glad to hear from you!

Your graceful comments are welcome!
